It is not often that we get to anounced something completely new but today is one of those days. Up until now we have shown reviews for each currency supplier and you have been able to add your own reviews but only from suppliers we already feature. As from today you can now add reviews for any company whether we feature them or not.

We are not only interested in currency suppliers. We already feature reviews from a wide range of travel insurers and we would like you to start adding any other travel companies that you have used.

This weeks question is… ‘How will my currency be delivered?’

How will my currency be delivered? Well, Firstly do you actually want it delivered at all? You can collect your currency directly from several of top currency suppliers such as Covent Garden FX for example have a kiosk actually in Covent Garden so if you are based in London it should be quick and easy for you to go and collect your money. Then of course you will have no delivery charges at all even for small orders. Companies like The Post Office They have branches and you can just order your currency onine and get the best online exchange rates and then collect it at your local branch the following day.

Why are all the exchange rates down today?

I was just looking at the exchange rates for all the major currencies and they are all down on last week. Mostly they are down by a fraction of a percent and if you think that 1% represents one penny on every pound you spend or £1 in every £100 of currency you buy. This is not the end of the world.

Tourist exchange rates are not the same as the bank’s foreign exchange rates (forex) it[tourist exchange rates] generates its own set of questions. Since the banking crisis in 2008 Australia has actually had a pretty strong economy and growth that would have George Osborne on cloud nine, at typically 3% or more for the past four years the Australian Dollar has been stable with fluctuations of plus or minus one or two percent.
