How we display buy back rates
You might notice the Namibian dollar rates shown here are different to the Namibian dollar rates offered by currency suppliers on our comparison pages. The rates are actually the same but are just presented in different ways. When we talk about the NAD / GBP exchange rate, we show the NAD rate relative to the pound so a rate of 0.03133 literally means 1 NAD = 0.03133 GBP.
However, UK currency suppliers choose to show this rate in terms of the amount of Namibian dollars you would need to exchange to receive 1 GBP, so (1 /) 0.03133 becomes 31.92. Or put another way, 31.92 NAD = 1 GBP. The two rates are interchangeable but currency suppliers prefer to show the second rate which they call the buy back rate.
