EasyJet changed their baggage policy again in November 2021.
From now on, passengers are permitted to take one small cabin on board for free and can pay extra to bring one large cabin bag on board and store up to three pieces of luggage in the hold.
Small cabin bags
All passengers can take one small cabin bag on board so long as it meets the following criteria:
- It must be no larger than 45cm high x 36cm wide x 20cm deep including handles and wheels
- It needs to fit under the seat in front of you
- It must weigh no more than 15kgs and you must be able to lift and carry it yourself
Large cabin bags
Customers who pay extra, or have booked additional legroom or up front seats can also take on board one large cabin bag:
- It must be no larger than 56cm high x 45cm wide x 25cm deep including handles and wheels
- It needs to fit in an overhead locker
- It must weigh no more than 15kgs and you must be able to lift and carry it yourself
Cabin bags are checked before you board and if your cabin bag does not meet the criteria above it will be checked into the hold instead and you'll be charged for it.
Hold luggage
Each passenger (including children and infants) can pay to store up to three items of luggage in the hold. A standard hold bag is 23kgs and you can buy extra weight in 3kg increments up to a maximum of 32kgs per bag.
If you're travelling as a family or a group you can pool your total weight allowance together but no single hold bag can weigh more than 32kgs or be larger than 275cm (length + width + height).
