How we display buy back rates
You might notice the Polish zloty rates shown here are different to the Polish zloty rates offered by currency suppliers on our comparison pages. The rates are actually the same but are just presented in different ways. When we talk about the PLN / GBP exchange rate, we show the PLN rate relative to the pound so a rate of 0.1835 literally means 1 PLN = 0.1835 GBP.
However, UK currency suppliers choose to show this rate in terms of the amount of Polish zloty you would need to exchange to receive 1 GBP, so (1 /) 0.1835 becomes 5.451. Or put another way, 5.451 PLN = 1 GBP. The two rates are interchangeable but currency suppliers prefer to show the second rate which they call the buy back rate.
