How we display buy back rates
You might notice the Swedish krona rates shown here are different to the Swedish krona rates offered by currency suppliers on our comparison pages. The rates are actually the same but are just presented in different ways. When we talk about the SEK / GBP exchange rate, we show the SEK rate relative to the pound so a rate of 0.07659 literally means 1 SEK = 0.07659 GBP.
However, UK currency suppliers choose to show this rate in terms of the amount of Swedish krona you would need to exchange to receive 1 GBP, so (1 /) 0.07659 becomes 13.06. Or put another way, 13.06 SEK = 1 GBP. The two rates are interchangeable but currency suppliers prefer to show the second rate which they call the buy back rate.
