Bought £750 worth of Euros

Have bought £750 euros over the last couple of months collected today my boarding passes but was only told today about telling them i'm a VIP as we booked holiday with them have never been told this befit so didn't get better rate on my £750 neither have my party of 3 that's going with me that have also bought euros from hayes Not happy

Bought £750 worth of Euros

Booked holiday with hayes travel staff told us get your euros so when checking in we ordered £750 collect Saturday told we would get a better rate at the time rate was 1.11euros that rate should got back around 840 euros we payed £750 when it came through we were told your getting 810 euros when we asked the agent about this she told us that' rate was for click and collect you got store price which is a lot lower disappointed with this after booking hoilday then staff telling us to order your euros when you do that we give you a better rate they should have told us to do click and collect we are down about 30 euros out of pocket.Always remember click and collect gets you a better rate than going to store.

Ordered a currency card

Kind of sold this card at the local branch as a good idea, but I loaded the app my money was there, next day I had zero money. Spent the next day back to the travel agents to sort this and calling customer services , on the 3rd call it was a technical problem , the branch had to transfer the money to a new card . The card has been useful on holiday but there are all sorts of fees that I didn't see until after I was given the loaded card all contained in an envelope. Wouldn't recommend

Ordered a currency card

I have been in France for a month using the Hays Travel Card. However this is the last time. I cannot check my balance without resetting another password each time. I have to keep typing in moving characters until I am goggle eyed f with it only to be told my account is locked. It is the most awkward site I have experienced and I will not be using it again nor recommend

Ordered a currency card

I ordered a travel card online with an initial balance of 50euros. The card duly arrived with a sticker that said I had to activate via a tel no. I did this without success but finally got through to person who sorted it. All good. I then downloaded the Hays app and tried to register. It said that the security info was incorrect even tho I used same info to activate. Phoned Haays customer services who told we they was an issue with online requests and could I phone later, when pressed he had no idea what later meant, today tomorrow. Tried several times today Sat without success. With me flying on Monday I don't think I will be taking that card. Also no idea wgat pin is I assume I can find that when I eventually register the card. Shame as I do try and support Hays as much as possible.

Ordered a currency card

I was gettig low on my currency, so I tried up loading from my Bank account. It wouldn't let me, that was the Banks problem. But I also noticed the exchange rate was a lot lower than it was on any particular day.

So all in all, you may as well be paying fees as you're not getting the best exchange rate with this card!

I even rang them (from Australia) to let them know and they just said it's a day later, so even when I waited the day, the exchange rate was still a lot lower.

Bought £501 worth of Euros

Went online for click and collect euros, filled in all the details, email stated the rate only applicable till end of next day. Still waiting for another email to pick up my euros at Silverburn Glasgow. Not good service at all. Tried phoning but nobody answered

Ordered a currency card

If I could rate this card 0 stars I would.

My partner and I really enjoyed using this card on holidays up until the day before we came home. We were both unable to upload any money to our cards, leaving us in a foreign country with no form of payment. I contacted the business and was told to give it a few hours. When I went to check my card later on that day, my card had negative £10.30 on it. I was horrified to see this. I am always up to date with my payments and ensured that I had the correct balance on my account before purchasing anything. I was also using Icelandic Krona , not GBP, so was very confused to see that the negative balance was in GBP. My partner then checked his account and he had the exact same negative balance in his account. After my partner raising a complaint, the business contacted him regarding his concerns with the app, they said that they had some technical issues and that they would correct his balance and change the outcomes to Icelandic Krona, meaning that he would not be charged as much, they then took his balance down to negative £3.

I checked my app the following day and my account had gone to negative £14.13. I contacted the business and requested a phone call back from the complaints department. They have called me back today and said that I am expected to pay the remaining balance. They also told me that they did not have any technical issues despite telling my partner that they did.

They have not corrected my balance and told me that the app would’ve taken 24 hours to update my balance, yet my negative balance keeps on increasing although it has been 3 days.

Also, my partner’s negative balance has increased again today to negative £10.30, despite them saying that they would correct it.

The company has been no help whatsoever. They have given us multiple different responses and no one seems to know what they are doing.

Would not recommend.

Ordered a currency card

While the card to make a purchase worked well at first, when in a major city with good connectivity, despite several attempts at different locations to add funds to the card, this proved impossible

.

Purchases then had to be made with a UK credit card which defeated the purpose of taking out the card, and proved at the time a great inconvenience.

The card is a good idea, but not being able to add funds when abroad nullified the benefits of the card.
