Danish kroner to pounds Sterling

One Danish krone (kr.) can be subdivded into 100 øre. There are five denominations of Danish kroner banknotes in circulation: kr. 50, kr. 100, kr. 200, kr. 500 and kr. 1000; and six coin denominations: 50 øre, kr. 1, kr. 2, kr. 5, kr. 10 and kr. 20.

The current series of Danish krone banknotes in circulation is the 'Bridge Series' which was introduced by Danmarks Nationalbank in 2011. Each banknote in the series features a different iconic Danish bridge on the reverse side, symbolising the connection between various regions of Denmark. For instance, the kr. 50 note displays the image of the Little Belt Bridge, while the kr. 100 note showcases the Great Belt Bridge. The kr. 200 note features the Øresund Bridge, and the kr. 500 note depicts the Queen Alexandrine Bridge. The highest denomination - the kr. 1,000 note - displays the image of the Storebælt Bridge. The obverse side of all banknotes in the series features portraits of notable Danes, such as N.F.S. Grundtvig, Karen Blixen, and H.C. Ørsted.
