At Compare Holiday Money we’re constantly looking for ways to expand and improve the services we provide in response to feedback and suggestions from our visitors. As well as providing our regular Travel Money and Prepaid Currency Card comparisons, we’re delighted to announce the launch of our brand new Money Transfers comparison service; perfect for those who need to transfer money to or from an overseas bank account.

What are Money Transfers?

Money Transfers, also known as International Payments, are a way of transferring money to or from an overseas bank account. Typically used as an alternative to high street banks, Money Transfer brokers take over the entire process of sending funds between two bank accounts in different countries at a fraction of the cost of the banks. Most transfers involve large sums of money, for example to pay for overseas properties or business transactions abroad, but increasingly British travellers are using these services to pay for their hotel and other holiday-related expenses directly before they travel. All you need to make a money transfer is the details of your bank and the overseas bank account you would like to make a payment to, and the broker will make the entire transfer on your behalf, usually for free. There are no upper or lower limits on the amount of money you can transfer but typically the more money you exchange, the better the rate you receive.

If you need to make one-off or regular payments to an overseas bank account, or if you have money in an overseas bank account that you would like to transfer back to the UK; make sure you check out our Money Transfer comparisons before you speak to your bank. You could save up to 5% on the cost of your transaction which works out at thousands of pounds on a large transaction. Request a free quote from any of our brokers and you’ll be assigned a dedicated account manager who’ll discuss your requirements and advise you on the best time to make the transfer to make it as cost-effective as possible for you.

We hope you’ll like our new Money Transfers comparison page and find the information useful. This is still very much a work in progress and we are constantly negotiating with new brokers to offer the very best exchange rates to our visitors. Over the coming weeks we’ll be launching our new Travel Money Buyback comparisons where you’ll be able to compare the best currency providers to sell your leftover currency back to when you return from holiday so stay tuned for future updates. In the meantime, please let us know if you have any feedback on our new comparisons or any part of the Compare Holiday Money site by using our feedback form or contact page.
