#TravelTuesday | Places To Go In 2017

by |

With a new year brings new challenges and what better way to escape than to see some of Europes hidden gems and maybe even revisit some of the most beautiful cities across the Continent (while you can).

If it’s a Winter Weekend break, or a trip to take in a bit of foreign culture, you’ll be sure to have to tick at least a few of these cities off the 2017 travel list.

5.) Copenhagen

The capital city of Denmark is 5th on the list. The simplistic & beautiful city never ceases to amaze despite all being tightly packed together.

Perfect for a short weekend break away from work and plenty ado, from visiting the self-proclaimed autonomous state of Freetown Christiania or hitting the Tivoli Gardens Theme Park for a quick spike in adrenaline, it’s a city that really has something for everyone.

4.) Berlin

You may leave Berlin, but Berlin never leaves you…

So goes the saying, boasting some of the best nightlife Europe has to offer by night while being able to catch up with some German culture in the day.

If it’s trying to get into the World Famous Barghain or taking a step back to see the what remains of the Berlin wall, it has it all.

Oh, and it’s cheap!

3.) Venice

Work has been pretty tough and you seem to have no real quality time with each other & summer is still a few months off…

Let Venice solve your problems with beautiful cuisine and even better views.

With two Airports near the City and extensive investment into local public transport, it’s never been easier to escape to a little romantic paradise in the heart of Europe.

Treat your significant other to a much deserved time together and a calming ride in a gondola.

2.) Brussels

Just want a change from the norm and a good excuse to drink beers you’ve never heard of before?

Brussels is the perfect place to spend a weekend with cheap flights meaning your money can go further.

So get tucked into chocolate coated waffles, beers and the culture that the city has to offer.

And if you’re lucky, you may be able to catch the By-Yearly Flower Carpet that takes place exclusively in the Belgium Capital.

1.) Barcelona

It might not sound like a perfect getaway city, but Barcelona is a true diamond in the crown that is Europe.

Great nightlife across La Rambla, Catalonian art and culture from the likes of Antoni Gaudi.

You can’t forget the World Famous FC Barcelona, who play some of the best Football the world has ever seen with the likes of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez plying their trade on Catalonian turf every other weekend.

All of this is connected with a cheap and easy to navigate Underground Metro Service, for ease of the traveller.
